Online Desk: Post deprived Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leaders attacked BNP joint secretary general Khairul Kabir Khokon’s car on Thursday while he was going to court to surrender in a case.

Khokon was scheduled to surrender in a Narsingdi court today over the murder of two JCD leaders on May 25. The deprived leaders, equipped with sticks, took position blocking DC Road in the city. They chanting different slogans against Khokon.

Around 10:30am, when a microbus carrying Khokon and eight lawyers coming from Dhaka reached the DC Road, the JCD men vandalised Khokon’s car. Khokon and lawyers managed to escape the scene safely. They also vandalised another private car in the area.

KM Shahidul Islam Shohag, additional superintendent of Narsingdi police, said, “We dispersed the JCD procession. Additional police have been deployed to avert any unto ward situation.”
