Online Desk: RAJUK Sramik Karmochari League as part of the central programme on Tuesday brought out a ‘peace and development procession’ to join the central programme in the capital.

The procession led by RAJUK Sramik Karmochari League president Abul Bashar Sharif and general secretary Nasir Uddin Chowdhury paraded the streets leading to the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).

The ruling Awami League announced two-day ‘peace and development procession’ programme in response to the BNP’s ‘one-point’ movement for the government’s resignation. On Tuesday ‘Peace Rally’ began in front of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) around 3:45pm.

After the brief rally ‘peace and development’ procession was started and marched towards Road No. 32 in Dhanmondi passing through Shahbagh, Kataban, Science Laboratory and Kalabagan areas before ended at Dhanmondi 32 number road. Dhaka South City unit of Awami League organized the event.

On Wednesday, the ‘peace and development rally’ is scheduled to be held at Tejgaon’s Satrasta intersection, to be followed by a procession led by Dhaka North City unit of Awami League to Mohakhali.  The procession will pass Satrasta, Tibet, Nabisco and Mohakhali Bus Terminal.
