Dipu Moni to hold meeting with protesting teachers

Online Desk: Education Minister Dipu Moni will hold a meeting with secondary level teacher leaders at about 3:30pm on Wednesday.

But, no leader of Bangladesh Teachers’ Association (BTA), which has been protesting in front of the Jatiya Press Club for the last nine days demanding the nationalization of private education, has been invited to the meeting, it is learnt.

Officials of the Ministry of Education and Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education said that various issues of education including the demand for nationalisation of private education, will be discussed in this meeting.
