You have been involved in judiciary for a long time. You’ve tempered the court order. Were you not get scared? You didn’t make a mistake by tampering the order, rather you’ve committed a crime knowing everything,” said a High Court bench.

The bench comprising Justice Md Habibul Gani and Justice Ahmed Sohel, however, posted its order on Thursday on a petition filed by judge Ismail seeking his exonerate from the allegation of negligence. Ismail told the court that he committed the mistake beyond his knowledge.

The judge granted the bails as there was a pressure on him from the district public prosecutor and the Cox’s Bazar Bar Association leader, Ismail’s lawyer Advocate Sayeed Ahmed Raja told the court quoting him as saying. Taking part in the hearing, Advocate Sayeed Ahmed Raja said, “We don’t want to make any contest. We seek unconditional apology from the High Court. We regret for the matter.”

As his lawyers sought apology again, the High Court said, “You’re seeking apology. You’re expressing regret. But, the Cox’s Bazar district judge didn’t seek any apology. He has no regret.
