Online Desk: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said they would take action if anyone creates public sufferings in the name of holding political programmes.
“It is normal that action would be taken against those who commit crimes, create public suffering and violate laws,” he said while speaking at a programme marking the 40th founding anniversary of Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) in the city.
The home boss said police were not obstructing BNP from holding any programme. The leaders and activists, who were arrested so far, are wanted in cases or accused in cases filed for vandalism, he said.
Asaduzzaman said the man recently killed in Lakshmipur was not an activist of BNP. He was killed following a feud between two local groups. Rab DG M Khurshid Hossain, CRAB President Mirza Mehedi Tamal and General Secretary Mamunur Rashid, among others, spoke in the programme.
