Rohingya man shot dead by ‘ARSA’ in Ukhiya

Online Desk: A Rohingya man has been gunned down by Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) gang in Cox’s Bazar’s Ukhiya camp.

The incident happened at about 10pm on Saturday. The deceased was Mohammad Salim, 45, son of Mohammad Nazir Hossain, a resident of camp no 7 in Ukhiya. Ukhiya Police Station Sheikh Mohammad Ali confirmed the matter on Sunday morning.

A gang of ARSA members entered the Rohingya camp at night and opened fire at Salim. They immediately left the place sensing presence of the police personnel.

Police rescued bullet-hit Salim from the scene and took to MSF Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead. The body was, later, sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue.
