Technical problem delays metro rail services by 40 mins

Online Desk: Metro rail services started 40 minutes late this morning due to a technical problem on the tracks.

Iftikhar Hossain, general manager, (operations), Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited, said metro rail today started operation from 8:40am instead of the scheduled 8:00am.

City dwellers who use metro rail to go to offices, schools, and other places faced inconvenience due to the unexpected delay. Mohammad Mahmud in a post on Traffic Alert wrote: “From last 40 minutes waiting for the train towards Uttara.”
