Online Desk: The opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold road march programme in the capital today (Saturday) demanding the release and better treatment of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

BNP Chairperson’s media wing member Shamsuddin Didar confirmed the matter on Friday night. He said the programme will begin from party’s central office at Nayapaltan in Dhaka and it will parade through Shantinagar, Malibagh and Moghbazar intersection.

BNP’s Dhaka South and North city units will organise the programme from 3pm. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will address the program as chief guest. Besides, standing committee members, senior leaders, BNP national executive committee and all levels of leaders and workers of associate organisations will participate in the march.

Meanwhile, BNP on Friday held its mass processions in the capital to press home its demand for the resignation of the Awami League government. This is the fourth programme of the opposition’s one-point movement with the goal to remove Awami League from power.
