Online Desk : A 3-day mobile journalism training (residential) workshop was completed with 30 journalists from different upazilas of Gopalganj under the initiative of Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB).Md. Shahid Ullah Khandkar, in-charge development representative of Prime Minister’s constituency (Tungipara-Kotalipara) and former senior secretary of Public Works Department, was present as the chief guest in the closing ceremony of the training workshop organized at the seminar room of Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) on Sunday afternoon. Director General of Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) Zafar Wazed spoke on the occasion, Director (Administration) Md. Zakir Hossain, PIB Director (Study & Training) Shah Sheikh Majlish Fuad.At this time, PIB assistant trainer Zilhaj Uddin Nipun, associate professor of mass communication and journalism department of Daffodil University. Jamil Khan, Chief Mobile Journalist of Bangladesh Times Sabbir Ahmed, Organizing Secretary of Press Club Gopalganj KM Saifur Rahman, Press Club Gopalganj religious and social welfare secretary M Mahmud, Kazi Mahmud, Monir Molla, Md Fayekuzzaman, Sahid Chowdhury, Molla Mohiuddin, Shah Alam, Murad and other Gopalganj journalists were present. Later, the chief guests Shahid Ullah Khandkar and Zafar Wazed gave certificates to the trainees who participated in the training workshop.Speakers in the program urged the journalists to play an effective role in the ongoing development activities of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and building a smart Bangladesh. Earlier, PIB Director General Zafar Wazed handed over several books written on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to Chief Guest Shaheed Ullah Khandkar.
