Online Desk: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said people of the country will resist the ruling Awami League if they holds another one-party election like the previous one.
They (AL) does not believe in democracy so they tried to hold the election without contest, the BNP leader told this at discussion held at Dhaka Reporters Unity in the capital on Monday.
Protesting the allegation of AL leaders that BNP is hatching conspiracy against the country people, Fakhrul said in reality they (ruling AL) are snatching the rights of the citizens. He alleged that the Awami League wants an election without contest to take the power again but that will not happen this time.
He urged the leaders and activists of the party to build protest against the government. BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi also spoke at the event organised by Bangladesh Student Forum and North Bengal Student Forum.
