Online Desk: A tribunal in Dhaka on Thursday deferred the judgment against two officials of rights body ‘Odhikar’ in a case filed under the ICT Act to September 14.
As the verdict has not been prepared yet, the judgement is deferred, according to the court sources. Judge AM Julfiker Hayet of Dhaka Cyber Tribunal set the new date for the verdict, which was scheduled for today.
The accused are Odhikar Secretary Adilur Rahman Khan and its Director ASM Nasiruddin Elan, who are now on bail. Both of them were present at the court today.
DB police filed the case against the two Odhikar officials on charge of distorted report on a Hefazat-e-Islam rally in the capital’s Motijheel in 2013.
