The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: The High Court today directed Shyamoli NR Paribahan owner to give Tk 10 lakh “initial cost” to the victims of a road accident occurred in Bogura in April this year. Two people were killed, and four others injured after a bus of the company hit an ambulance on the Dhaka-Bogura highway in Bogura’s Sherpur on April 25. The accident happened as the Dhaka-bound bus allegedly entered the wrong lane of the highway and hit the ambulance from the opposite direction. Aynal Hossain, 50, of Gaibandha died on the spot while ambulance driver Din Mohammad, 30, of Pirojpur succumbed to his injuries on way to a hospital. The HC ordered the transport company owner to give Tk 5 lakh to the families of the two deceased and six injured persons by today while the rest Tk 5 lakh in the next 15 days. The HC bench of Justice KM Kamrul Kader and Justice Mohammad Ali passed the order while hearing a writ petition filed by the victims’ families seeking necessary directives on compensation. After the HC order, Shyamoli NR Paribahan’s Managing Director Subhankar Ghosh Rakesh has already handed over Tk 5 lakh to the victims through their lawyer Mohammad Shishir Manir.
