Ruling Awami League has announced five more programmes to be held in the current month of October. Awami League general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader announced the programmes at a joint meeting of the party’s presidium held at its central office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
Of the programmes, one is political, while the rest four are related to the development projects. Besides, inauguration of the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on October 7, opening of the railway bridge on Padma Bridge on October 10, opening of the Agargaon-Motijheel section of Dhaka Metro Rail on October 20, and inauguration of Bangabandhu Tunnel on October 28.
