Online Desk: Australia captain Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first in their opening match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 against India in MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Sunday.

Marcus Stoinis will miss the match as he hasn’t yet recovered from his injury. Travis Head and Marcus Stoinis miss out for Australia due to injury, with David Warner and Mitch Marsh to open the batting on a sunny day at MA Chidambaram Stadium. In the meantime, Ishan Kishan set to partner skipper Rohit Sharma at the top of the India batting order, replacing opening batter Shubman Gill, who is out with dengue.
