No more 3-day mobile data packs from today

Online Desk: The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) closed three-day mobile data package services from Sunday (October 15) as per its previous decision. From now, mobile users will have the option to buy data plans for seven days or 30 days. The option to purchase plans with unlimited validity will remain, too.

The operators could not buy this package from Saturday midnight. When Grameenphone (GP) users tried for three-day package from MyGP app on Sunday morning, they failed to buy. It will cost Tk 98 to buy 3 GB data for seven days while 10 GB will cost Tk 169. The move will particularly hit the pockets of the grassroots, low-income and youth segments.
