Online Desk: Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal has been made the 29th vice-chancellor of Dhaka University (DU).
Prof Kamal of the Disaster Science and Management department has been appointed as the pro-VC (academic) of the university in 2020.
The current VC Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman’s tenure will expire on November 2.
Prof Kamal, elected dean of the Earth and Environmental Sciences Faculty in 2012, was elected president of the Duta four consecutive times.
