Online Desk: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said, “If BNP withdraws its demands, then we will consider dialogue with them.”
Pointing out the US pre-election assessment mission’s one of the recommendations to engage of political parties in open dialogue, Quader said, “We will think about dialogue when they (BNP) will aloof from their four conditions. We will never sit on conditional dialogue.”
Earlier, the BNP secretary general said that they would agree to sit in a dialogue with Awami League if the national polls were held under a neutral government.
Responding to that statement, Obaidul Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said this to the reporters on Sunday.
He said, “We have no objection to the other issues (US pre-election observation team). We all agree on them.”
The US team has advised political parties to engage in meaningful dialogue to ensure a credible, participatory and violence-free national election in Bangladesh.
