Online Desk: Indian President Draupadi Murmu has wished good health to her Bangladesh counterpart as President Mohammed Shahabuddin underwent a cardiac bypass surgery.

“I have been informed about your recent medical surgery, and I am pleased to know that you are recovering well post-surgery,” Murmu said a statement issued yesterday.

“On behalf of the Government and the people of India, I take this opportunity to extend my good wishes to you. I pray for your continued good health and uplifted spirits in the days to come,” she said.

The Indian premier wished Shahabuddin “best of health and great success in future endeavors”.

President Shahabuddin under4went the surgery at Singapore’s National University Hospital on October 18.
