Online Desk: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said BNP is now trying to create anarchy in the country centering the upcoming Jatiya Sangsad (JS) polls as they failed to draw people’s response to their political stance.
“They (BNP) have now become an isolated political party. People witnessed their atrocities and killings. So, the people are not responding to BNP’s call,” he told journalists after attending a view exchange meeting with government officials at Raipur upazila here.
People do not like BNP’s threat to paralyze everything of the country and carry out atrocities and killings, the home minister said, adding that the people have rejected militancy and terrorism forever.
“So, if BNP wants to do something like arson and killings, the countrymen will resist them, they will give befitting reply to BNP through voting. The government has all the preparations to deal with any situation,” said Kamal.
Noting that BNP’s allegations of lodging ghost cases against their larders and activists are baseless, the home minster said cases were filed by the victims of the incidents.
“BNP is spreading misinformation calling those as ghost cases. The cases which are called ghost cases have been filed as such incidents have taken place,” he added.
