Online Desk: The schedule of the upcoming national elections will be announced in second week of November, said an Election Commissioner on Monday.

He said, “Voting may be held in the last week of December this year or the first week of January, 2024, as the voting environment is favourable. It’s on our roadmap.”

The Election Commission (EC) is busy with the upcoming national polls. Ahead of the election, voter list, ballot box, ballot paper and various election materials are being brought to the commission. These goods will be sent to the field level from this week. The EC has already written a letter seeking security from regional, district-upzilla and police station election offices.

A total of 11,91,51,440 voters are in the country.
