The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: Pallabi station of Dhaka Metro Rail will be operational from January 25. It will be the third metro rail station after Diabari and Agargaon to be open to the public. MAN Siddique, managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited, disclosed the information during a press briefing at DMTCL office today. Currently, the metro rail runs between Diabari to Agargaon without any stops in between.
There will also be a slight change in the metro rail timing, he said. It will run from 8:30am to 12:30pm, he added. Additionally, they will try to relax the restriction on the number of passengers from 200 in order to accommodate more commuters. During the first 10 days of metro rail operation, around 90,000 passengers used the service while authorities earned around Tk 88 lakh, the MD of DMTCL added.
