13 more dengue patients die, 1,638 hospitalised in a day

Online Desk: At least 13 more people died from dengue in the country in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning, raising the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease to 1,393 this year.
Of the 13 deaths, seven were reported outside of the capital.
According to data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) some 1,638 dengue patients were hospitalised during the period.
It said 6,636 dengue patients were undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country on Friday morning.
Nearly 2,77,801 were infected, and 2,69,772 patients have, so far, been released from hospitals across the country this year.
