Online Desk: Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan Shahabuddin Ahmed on Monday said it is the time to focus on the human resources along with diversified economic sectors’ cooperation as Bangladesh has a huge pool of skilled manpower that can be sent for overseas employment.
Noting that Japan has a growing demand of foreign workers, the Ambassador urged Japan’s manpower recruiting companies and agencies to recruit more skilled workers from Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo in collaboration with Japan International Trainee and Skilled Worker Cooperation Organization (JITCO) organized a seminar on ‘Bangladesh: A Highly Potential Source Country of Skilled Human Resources for Japan’ at Toshi Kaikan in Tokyo.
Nearly 300 participants from Japanese companies and manpower recruiting organizations, and the sending organizations of Bangladesh were present at the event.
The ambassador thanked the Japanese government for elevating the diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Japan to “Strategic Partnership.”
First Secretary (Labour) of the Embassy Md. Zoynal Abedin gave a presentation on ‘Bangladesh-A Highly Potential Source Country of Skilled Human Resources for Japan’ focusing on why and how Bangladesh can be the most potential source country of skilled human resources for Japan.
He mentioned the initiatives taken by the Bangladesh government to train the youths for employment in line with the demand of the Japanese companies and industries.
Senior Vice President of JITCO Ambassador Shigeo Matsutomi also made a presentation on ‘Global Labor Market and Diversification of Foreign Human Resources’.
Later some success stories of Bangladeshi workers in Japan were screened before the audience. Three Japanese guests shared their positive experience about Bangladeshi workers.
The seminar was followed by a four-hour long interaction and matching program between Supervising Organizations of Japan and Sending Organizations of Bangladesh. 45 Sending organizations from Bangladesh and around 120 supervising organizations of Japan took part in the event.
Some agreements between them will be signed as an outcome of this matching event, and it will be a milestone in expanding the Bangladeshi labour market in Japan.
