Online Desk: A total of six dengue patients died and 1,291 were hospitalized in the country in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) with the latest fatalities, the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 1,549 this year.

Currently, 4,949 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 1,227 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 3,722 are in other divisions.

As many as 3,01,255 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country and some 2,94,757 patients were released after recovery since January 1 this year.
