The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: Three members of a family including a seven-year-old girl were killed when a truck hit a motorcycle in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur last evening. The deceased were identified as Babul Mia, 30, his daughter Nusrat, 7, of Shirishguri village, and his mother-in-law Basiron, 50, of Badnibhanga village in the upazila.

The accident took place at Badnibhanga around 6:00pm yesterday when Babul was returning from a relative’s house with his mother-in-law and daughter on a motorcycle, said Mohammad Moniruzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sreepur Police Station. The mother-in-law died on the spot, our Gazipur correspondent quoted the OC as saying. Locals rescued the father and daughter and took them to a local hospital, where Nusrat died of her injuries. Babul was shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where he died around 10:30pm while undergoing treatment. On information, police seized the truck and recovered the bodies. However, the truck driver managed to flee.
