Online Desk: JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing has forged a partnership with India’s renowned hospital chain brand Apollo for ensuring access to world-class treatment for patients in Bangladesh.
JMI Group will establish and operate Apollo Clinic in Dhaka. A licence agreement has been signed in this regard between JMI Specialized Hospital and Apollo Health and Lifestyle at a Dhaka hotel on Tuesday.
JMI Specialized Hospital is a subsidiary of publicly-traded JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing, with an authorised capital of Tk 500 million and a paid-up capital of Tk 200 million.
Apollo Health & Lifestyle is a subsidiary of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, the largest hospital chain in India, with a network of 75 owned and managed hospitals and 350 clinics.
The Dhaka clinic will be equipped with the state-of-the-art technologies and run by the country’s leading physicians, clinicians, and management staff, reads a statement.
Md. Abdur Razzaq, founder and managing director of JMI Group, said, “Quality healthcare at a fair price is the main objective of our investment so that the people of the country can receive world-class healthcare services in the country without going abroad.”
The operation of the clinic will begin soon. Once Apollo Clinic in Dhaka comes into operation, more than one million patients will receive healthcare services annually from there.
Head of Franchise Business at Apollo Health & Lifestyle Tarun Gulati said, “JMI is one of the best healthcare brands in Bangladesh, while we are the leading brand in Asia considering the number of hospitals-clinics.
“So, in Bangladesh we have given a licence to the JMI Specialized Hospital to operate Apollo Clinic in Bangladesh.”
Mr Gulati said they would ensure state-of-the-art diagnostic, consultation and health check-up facilities and would gradually expand business with JMI in Bangladesh.
