Online Desk: A six-day fabric exhibition titled ‘Winter Collection Fabrics Week’, organised by the leading fabric manufacturer Paramount Textile PLC, kicked off in the city on Saturday.

The fair, being held on the premises of Paramount Textile’s head office at Gulshan in the city, aims to further expand the market share of the country’s textile products across the globe.

Chairman of the company Shakhawat Hossain Kallol inaugurated the exhibition on Saturday morning.

Buyers from world’s famous apparel brands are taking part in the exhibition.

Some 2,000 types of quality fabrics produced by Paramount Textile are being displayed at the exhibition.

Paramount Textile has been manufacturing various types of eco-friendly and sustainable yarn dyeing, solid dyeing, printing fabrics and others, since 2008.

This year, the company has produced fabrics with special focus on eco-friendly products, said its chairman.

Recycled cotton, recycled polyester, organic yarn, regen RD rabrics, natural colours and ecobera libaco fabrics are among them.

“The fabrics produced for winter garments have been displayed in the event for the buyers of different countries including Europe,” Mr Kollol said.

International buyers and chief marketing officers from various garments and buying houses will have ideas about the fabrics produced by the company through this exhibition, he added.

Innovations in fabrics, colours and materials are also being displayed in the exhibition.

This year’s arrangement has been made with a target of 2025.

Paramount Textile has invented fabrics and have caught the attention of foreign buyers, said Mr Kollol.

“Already we are working with domestic and foreign famous brands. To maintain this continuity in the future, we have invested heavily in the development and research sectors. We are presenting Bangladesh with fabrics in the world forum,” he observed.

The exhibition will remain open from 10 am to 6 pm every day for the visitors until February 8.
