Online Desk: The new executive committee of Bangladesh Foreign Service Association (BFSA) paid tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at the portrait of the great leader in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at the capital’s Dhanmondi on Wednesday.

The committee’s new President Dr Muhammad Nazrul Islam and General Secretary Nayem Uddin Ahmed prayed for the eternal peace for the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage.

The BFSA president signed the Visitors’ Book kept at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.

Later in the day, the executive committee members paid a courtesy call on the Foreign Minister and Foreign Secretary.

At that time, they expressed their firm commitment to working together in the development journey of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and building Smart Bangladesh.

Earlier on Tuesday ( February 13), Ambassador Muhammad Nazrul Islam and Nayem Uddin Ahmed took charge as president and general secretary of the newly constituted executive committee of BFSA.
