Online Desk: Xcel Sports Management and Promotions, in partnership with The Arena Promotions, is gearing up to host the city’s premier professional boxing event of the year, “Path To Glory: Hustle in Dhaka Square.”

Slated for Saturday, February 17, at the Kemal Ataturk Park in Banani, the event kicks off at 4 pm, offering an exhilarating experience for boxing aficionados and newcomers alike.

This landmark event will not only highlight the prowess of emerging national boxing talents but also feature international matchups, including a bout between ABF Champion Sura Krishna Chakma from Bangladesh and India’s Sandeep Kumar. Another key fight will see a Malaysian ABF titleholder take on Bangladesh’s own Resatul Sajin, promising high-octane action for the audience.

The event boasts a lineup of 26 fighters across 13 bouts in 10 weight categories, ranging from Bantamweight to Super Lightweight. Spectators can look forward to debut performances from 11 fresh talents representing various teams, including BKSP, Dhaka, Khulna, and Bandarban.

Adnan Haroon, Chairman of the Bangladesh Boxing Foundation, emphasized the event’s role in fostering professional boxing at the divisional and district levels throughout Bangladesh. The event is a collaborative effort between the newly established Xcel & The Arena Promotions, with Ishrat Karim Bhuiyan of Arena Promotions leading the charge, under the sanction and license of the Bangladesh Boxing Foundation.

“Path to Glory” aims to be a launchpad for the nation’s aspiring boxers, endorsed by Olympic Energy Plus Biscuits and powered by Turaag Active, with Premier Bank as the sponsor. This event promises a captivating mix of sports and entertainment, setting a new benchmark for boxing in Bangladesh.
