Biman starts ticket sale for Rome flights

Online Desk: Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the country’s national flag carrier today started ticket sales for flights on Dhaka-Rome-Dhaka route as the airliner resuming this destination from March 26 after 15 years.

Tickets for this route are available for sale from 02:05 pm today on all Biman’s distribution channels, a Biman Bangladesh Airlines press release said.

Earlier on December 21 last, Biman Managing Director and CEO Shafiul Azim announced the resumption of the Dhaka-Rome-Dhaka flight after 15 years from March 26 marking the Independence Day.

From March 26-31, flight BG-355 will depart from Dhaka every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 02:00 am (local time) and reach Rome at 07:00 am (local time).

However, from April 01 as per the summer schedule the flight will depart from Dhaka every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 03:00 am (local time), will reach Rome at 09:10 am (local time) and the flight will depart Rome at 10:45 am (local time)and reach Dhaka 11:45 pm (local time).
For economy class, the minimum one-way fare on the Dhaka-Rome route including all taxes will start at Taka 64,355 per person and the round trip cost is Taka 1,04,568, whereas the business class ticket will start from Taka 1,44,105 and Taka 2,58,568 for the round trip.
On the Rome-Dhaka route, the minimum one-way economy class fare will start from Taka 48,788 and Taka 89,852 for the round trip.

The one-way and round-trip fares for business class will start from Taka 1,22,663 and Taka 2,22,236 respectively.

Biman currently offers special discounts on the occasion of the resumption of the route.

The Rome flight will be operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Biman’s Rome flight started on April 2 in 1981 and was stopped on April 6, 2015.
