Online Desk: Fortune Barishal captain Tamim Iqbal won the toss and elected to field first in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 final against the Comilla Victorians on Friday in Dhaka.

Comilla, with a perfect record in their four previous finals appearances, enters the match with a clear confidence advantage.

Barishal, despite reaching their fourth final, is still seeking their first BPL title. (Barishal has fielded different franchises throughout BPL history; this is the second final for the Fortune franchise.)

The Victorians welcomed back Mustafizur Rahman, who recovered from a recent head injury, replacing Mushfik Hasan in their lineup. In contrast, Barishal is fielding an unchanged playing XI for the final.

Barishal’s path to the final included victories over the Chattogram Challengers in the eliminator and the Rangpur Riders in the second qualifier.
