Online Desk: Jabeda Begum, mother of NASA Group director Shahidul Islam Mithu, passed away at Mirpur BIRDEM Hospital late on Monday night (Inna Lillahi Wa Innah Ilayhi Rajiun). She was 75.

Late Jabeda Begum, a good-hearted and humanitarian, has left behind three sons, one daughter and numerous well wishers to mourn her death.

She was buried at Bandar village of Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur on Tuesday afternoon. People from different professions of Faridpur and Magura districts attended the burial ceremony.

It should be noted that Shahidul Islam Mithu’s house was Madukhali in Faridpur, but later he was established in Magura. He is well known as a philanthropic leader in the area. His mother Zabeda Khatun was also charitable and philanthropic. Her death cast a shadow of mourning in Magura and Faridpur. People from all walks of life attended her funerals held at various places.
