Facebook, Messenger, Instagram face global outage

Online Desk: Meta services Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram are facing a global outage as of 9:30pm.

Users reported that starting around 9:15pm today, they were unable to access Facebook and Messenger.

Once they try to log into their accounts, a message pops up, saying “session expired, please log in again”.

“I tried to log into my Facebook account at 9:30pm. I uninstalled it and installed it again. Still, I couldn’t get access to my account,” Nusrat Jahan, a user from Mymensingh.

An official of Forethought PR, Meta’s official public relations agency in Bangladesh, said they have informed it to Meta and were trying to get a statement.

Global outage detecting site DownDetector.com showed the site has hit the highest outages since 9:00pm tonight (Bangladesh time).

However, WhatsApp remained unaffected till the filing of this report.
