Titu elected mayor of Mymensingh city again

Online Desk: Ekramul Haque Titu, president of Mymensingh city Awami League, has unofficially been elected mayor of Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) for the second time by a big margin.

Returning officer Mohammad Belayet Hossain announced the result late Saturday night from Advocate Tarek Memorial Auditorium in the city.

According to the result, Ekramul Haque Titu got a total of 1,35,959 votes while his nearest rival candidate Awami League leader Sadequl Haque Milky got 34,395 votes.

Returning officer Belayet said the voting was peacefully conducted throughout the day at 128 centres through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
