Eid: Trucks movement on highways banned for 6 days

Online Desk: The movement of trucks, covered vans and lorries on the highways will be stopped three days before and three days after Eid-ul-Fitr to ensure hassle-free journey for homegoers.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at BRTA Bhaban and it was chaired by Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.

ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, said that the movement of trucks, lorries and vans will be stopped for six-day during the Eid-ul-Fitr.

Meanwhile, vehicles carrying daily essentials and emergency medicine will be out of the purview of the restriction, he added.
