The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: Thousands of activists of different units of Awami league and its associate bodies have started a “victory procession” in Dhaka this afternoon, celebrating the country’s 52nd Victory Day. The procession started around 3:45pm from in front of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh near Suhrawardy Udyan.

Leaders and activists were seen moving in processions carrying national flags, party banners and festoons. Many were also seen travelling on trucks, playing patriotic songs. The procession, being organised by Dhaka north and south city units of Awami League, will parade roads in Shahbagh, Elephant Road and Mirpur Road before ending at Dhanmondi Rd-32.

Prior to the rally, a brief programme was held where senior Awami League leaders including its General Secretary Obaidul Quader, presidium members Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzaq, spoke.
