Fire breaks out at factory in Mongla EPZ

Online Desk: A fire broke out in a factory at Mongla Export Processing Zone (EPZ) area in Khulna district on Tuesday. The fire broke out at VIP-1 factory in the EPZ around 3:30 pm. On information, seven firefighting units rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the fire.

Mongla EPZ Executive Director Md. Mahabub Ahmed Siddique said, “A fire suddenly broke out in the factory in the afternoon. Workers were able to walk out from inside the factory soon after the incident.” Mongla Port Fire Service official Md Arbesh Ali said the fire might have originated from an electric short circuit.
