Online Desk: A young woman and his brother were killed after a truck crashed a private car on the Bogura-Rangpur highway at Shibganj upazila in Bogura district on Saturday night. The deceased were Kuheli Akter, 26, wife of Humayun Kabir; and her brother Siam Hosen, 20, residents of Harinathpur village under Hijla upazila of Barishal district.

According to locals, Humayun along with his wife Kuheli and brother-in-law were going to Rangpur driving a private car. When they reached at Chakpara area, a truck coming from opposite side crashed Humayun’s car as one of the wheels of the car burst and lost control. The trio were injured critically.

Locals rescued them and took to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared Kuheli Akter and Siam dead. Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital Police outpost sub-inspector Rassel Ahammed said being informed, police recovered the bodies. The bodies were handed over to their families, the SI added.
