The Daily Morning Voice Online Desk: Bangladesh innings lasted 49 minutes into the fifth and final day of the Chattogram, bowled out for 324 runs to hand India a 188-run win. Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan was looking to reduce the margin of defeat during an attacking knock on day four of the Chattogram Test, needing 241 more runs and only Mehedi Miraz as the recognised batter for company.

Miraz departed into the third over of the day, caught at point for 13. Shakib, who went after Axar Patel yesterday, continued in the same vein today hitting boundaries and keeping Taijul Islam away from strike. He added 44 runs to his overnight score of 40 before he departed to Kuldeep Yadav for a 108-ball 84, laced with six fours and six sixes. The last two wickets, that of Taijul and Ebadot Hossain, fell without adding to the score. Axar bagged four wickets for 77 runs while Kuldeep scalped three as India took a 1-0 lead in the series heading to the Dhaka Test.
