Fire at Purana Paltan building doused

Online Desk : A fire broke out in the Finance tower in the Purana Paltan area of the capital Wednesday evening has been brought under control. No casualties, however, reported in the incident. Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Media Cell officer Shahjahan Sikder said that the fire broke out at around 6:48pm, smokes were seen coming out of the 5th floor of the 15-floor building. A unit of fire fighters reached the spot at 6:58pm and later four units joined them at 7.26pn and brought the fire under control. He said the reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
