Online Desk : The government primary schools, which remain closed across the country since July 24, may reopen this week. Primary and Mass Education Secretary Farid Ahmed told Jago News on Saturday afternoon. “Efforts are underway to reopen the government primary schools this week. A meeting will be held tomorrow (Sunday) to make a final decision in this regard,” he said.
Earlier on July 17, the Primary and Mass Education Ministry announced the closure of primary schools in eight city corporation areas, citing student security concerns amidst protests for quota reforms. On July 24, the ministry asked all primary schools across the country to close for an indefinite period.
