Online Desk : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday condemned the militant activities of Shibir, Chhatra Dal, BNP, and Jamaat, accusing them of undermining the nation. “Shibir, Chhatra Dal, BNP, and Jamaat are militants who have cast their clutches on Bangladesh,” the Prime Minister said during a 14-party alliance meeting at her official residence, Ganabhaban.
Addressing the recent violent incidents in Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina emphasized that these were not political actions but acts of militancy. As the leader of the Awami League, Sheikh Hasina highlighted the government’s achievements in socioeconomic development, asserting that such progress has elevated the country’s standing. “Through our socioeconomic development, we have positioned Bangladesh with dignity,” she said.
She also dismissed the notion that the recent unrest was related to quota reform, attributing it instead to malicious intents. “Their ill motives were visible; quota reform was not an issue at all,” she clarified. Sheikh Hasina further criticized “the militants” for targeting public infrastructure. “Their intention was to destroy the structures providing services and convenience to the masses,” she noted.
