Online Desk  :   Authorities will be ready to resume metro rail operations within a week, except at the two stations that were vandalised during the recent violence centering Quota Reform Movement. MAN Siddique, managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), on Sunday told the media that the interim government will decide when the trains will start running. But before that they are expected to carry out trial runs within two or three days as the full technical preparations to resume operations have begun.

He said they will be ready to resume operations within a maximum of seven days. About the two stations — Kazipara and Mirpur-10 – which were vandalized, managing director said that the committee formed to assess the damages and address technical issues has yet to submit its report.  The authorities will proceed based on the findings of the committee to resume operation of those two stations.
