Online Desk  :   Four or five new advisers are set to take oath as members of the incumbent Interim government, led by Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus, at the Bangabhaban on Thursday afternoon. The probable advisers are —  economist Wahiduddin Mahmud, former cabinet secretary Ali Imam Mazumder and former secretary Fouzul Kabir Khan.

There are speculations that a former army official may be included as adviser but his inclusion could not be confirmed.  The swearing-in ceremony of the new advisers will be held at 4PM on Friday at Bangabhaban. A press release of the Bangabhaban press wing was issued in this regard on Thursday. According to sources of the department of government transport, they have been told to keep five vehicles prepared.

They don’t know how many advisors will be there. Notably, in these cases, they are always told to keep additional vehicles ready. So it is not possible to determine the number of advisors from the number of the vehicles. On August 8, Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus took the oath of office as head of Bangladesh’s interim government  after an uprising prompted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to step down and flee to India. The current interim government has 17 members including Prof Yunus.
