Online Desk  :  The interim government’s education adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud on Sunday said it is not possible to implement the new curriculum. He, however, said that no decision will be taken which will make the students uncomfortable. The adviser told reporters at Secretariat after taking charge of office. He said the new curriculum, introduced in 2021, needs improvement. He explained that while times are changing, the current curriculum is difficult to implement with the existing level of teachers.  “I do not think it is useful for our country in all aspects,” he said.

He also said whatever we do, we will try to go back to the previous education system during this temporary period. But I will do it in such a way that those who have already entered will not feel any discomfort. The teachers should not feel uncomfortable.

He said, the curriculum that is not implementable cannot be maintained. “I will go back to the previous in phases. I will go in such a way that there is no discontinuity. Students should not be disturbed in their studies. But how to go is a matter of formula. The matter is complicated,” the education adviser said.

He said more than 40 of our universities are without guardians. They should be reopened as soon as possible. It is also an opportunity for us. We want real learners and qualified people to come.
