Online Desk : A court in Dhaka on Thursday ordered to send Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSoD) president and former minister Hasanul Haq Inu, Workers Party president Rashed Khan Menon, former state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak and former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun to jail in separate murder cases. Two magistrates of Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court passed this order following separate petitions.
Earlier this morning, Abdullah Al-Mamun was produced before the court after ending his eight-day remand in a case filed over the killing of a grocery shop owner Abu Sayeed, in Mohammadpur on July 19 during the Quota Reform Movement. Later, he was shown arrested in four separate cases. Later magistrate Saifur Rahman sent him to jail in the cases.
Meanwhile, Dhaka Metroploitam Magistrate Mehedi Hasan sent Inu, Palam and Menon to jail after they were shown arrested in Chhatra Dal leader Nuruzzaman Jonny killing case. They were produced before the court in the morning after remands.
