Labour unrest in Ashulia, 219 factories shut

Online Desk : Production in 219 factories in Ashulia industrial area remained suspended amid workers’ unrest. Of those, 86 factories were shut by the authorities for indefinite period under Section 13 (1) of the Labour Act and the remaining 133 factories remained closed as they declared a general holiday.
The factories were closed from Thursday morning to noon. But there are no reports of road block or demonstration.
