Online Desk : A group of representatives from the agitating students met Chief of the Interim Government, Prof Muhammad Yunus, to discuss raising the age limit for government jobs from the current 30 to 35. The team entered the Jamuna State Guest House, the official residence of the Chief Adviser around 5:25 pm to hold the talks to this end.
Earlier in the day the interim government constituted a committee to review the issue of raising the age limit to 35 for entering the public service. This committee has been formed in the face of demands of all concerned and ongoing demonstrations over increasing the government job entry age, read a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday. On completion of the meeting, one of the representatives is expected to speak to the media about the outcome of the meeting.
