Online Desk: The government has decided to give ‘Ekushey Padak 2023’ to 19 eminent persons and two organisations for their contributions to different fields. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs announced their names on Sunday (February 12).

The noted persons are Khaleda Manzur-e-Khuda, valiant freedom fighter AKM Shamsul Huque (posthumous), Haji Md Mojibar Rahman, Masud Ali Khan, Shimul Yusuf, Monoranjan Ghosal, Gazi Abdul Hakim, Fazal-e-Khoda (posthumous), Jayanta Chattopadhaya, Nawazish Ali Khan, Kanak Champa Chakma, Mamtaz Uddin (posthoumous), Md Shah Alamgir (posthumous), Dr Md Abdul Mazid, Prof Dr Mazharul Islam (posthumous), Md Saidul Huq, Advocate Manzurul islam (posthumous), Aktar Uddin Mia (posthumous) and Dr Moniruzzaman (posthumous).

The two organisations are Bangladesh National Museum and Bidyananda Foundation.
