Continuous road blockades cripple Gazipur

Online Desk : Continuous highway blockades by the garment workers have cripple Gazipur. For the third consecutive day, the workers of TNZ Apparels, blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway for unpaid wages.

The protest caused severe traffic disruptions, virtually disconnecting Dhaka from Tangail and Mymensingh and leaving long-route buses and container trucks carrying export cargo stranded in massive tailbacks.

Law enforcement agencies are also on alert beside the highway to avert troubles.
